Roomies is a good reliable source Roomies is a good reliable source. However I wish more people would use it instead of Facebook. However I have to use Facebook much more because Roomies doesn't get a lot of traffic.

Better luck with paying sites You need a place to leave reviews besides facebook. Not only to warn people of potential crappy landlords and/or tenants but to also rate the good ones. Not everyone has Facebook. Found my new place on a completely different site and hoping to never use Roomies again.

Roomies was a fantastic service to use… Roomies was a fantastic service to use when I was looking for a room in a sharehouse. It was free to use, I entered my preferences (rent price, location, etc.) and a few details about myself. Within a couple days I had a message from an individual looking to fill a room in her place, turned out we were in the same uni program, and have a lot in common (because she was also choosing me based on a detailed profile). Roomies was the best platform to be able to have these initial interactions! I love it.

Personal, safe, and easy to use. The identity verification made it easier for potential roommates to feel safe reaching out to rent my room. Fairly easy to use, especially for a free app. Also, great that the profiles helped me to know more about the potential roommates and them to know more about me as well.
