GBThe whole process went pretty smooth The whole process went pretty smooth. Everything is explained in detail, and any issues are addressed immediately. All whom I dealt wit were professional and respectful. As a skeptic, my opinion has changed.

GBKnow your value Their offer was better than I expected. And they even added another $5k on top. However, with everything they take to close the deal, it came out to around 8% commission (roughly $39k) in total closing. They wanted $13k for "repairs" but wouldn't itemized what they deemed needing repaired. And $600 HVAC even though it's all less than 5 years old. Felt like nickle and diming. Update... I responded to Open Doors request for more information in regards to my review about our situation and they have not reached out to us in any form. Disappointing for sure.

GBWorst Condition homes youll see! We looked at a home by Open Door and it was the worst home we saw. It was like a nightmare. Windows were falling off the frame. The home looked like it was spray painted. Nearly every kind of “fix” was a joke. It had so many code violations and security issues. the doors had huge gaps under them so large a small animal could come in and out. I couldnt even believe this house was on the market. Our agent said Open Door buys up really terrible homes and does super fast clean ups on the property and then sells them in horrible condition. No other home seller we saw does this. She told us to stay away from Open Door. Its also out of Chicago IL and even there it has a horrible reputation. Open Door doesnt not sell good homes, or even halfway decent homes.
