GBGood gym Good gym, nice equipment. Dislike all of the News, streaming all the time. Having all of that constant negative news glaring at me while trying to workout really kills my motivation. Asked them if they could put anything else on and they said,” no that it’s always been that way.” Bummer

GBGym creeps Most of the time I can use vent fitness as a great get away from my busy schedule, but I hate it when some creepy dude shows up on the scene, especially in locker room.

GBMy only dislike in the 2 weeks I've… My only dislike in the 2 weeks I've been a member is that upgrading isn't cost effective. I understand that the $9.99 per month is a contract, but I'm willing to pay the additional $20 a month to go to the next level. I'd even be willing to sign a 3 or 6 month, even a one year contract to join at he level, but they only offer month to month. So , in essence, I;d lose my $99.99 sign up fee and still have to pay the extra $20 a month. Guess I'll be staying at level 1.

GBVent Switching to Vent from Planet Fitness was a great choice for me personally as the gym seems more focused on serious fitness-minded individuals. This is motivational if anything. I don’t consider myself a gym rat by any stretch, but working out (primarily weight training) in a gym with a catered selection of machines, benches, dumbells, and free weights, accompanied by serious weight lifters, is a good atmosphere to promote more desire to progress. I like that all four locations do not have the exact same equipment. It switches up the atmosphere if there is a certain machine at Latham that Clifton Park doesn’t have for the day you do shoulders (just an example). The staff is relatively friendly and the facilities are sufficient. Some machines, like the cables at Clifton Park, could use some attention (minor repairs, tune ups, etc). The cardio equipment at Latham is a bit outdated. Some of the hammer strength machines have awkward positioning, (i.e. seated military press) but that is likely an individual preference on my part. Overall, I am more than pleased that I joined Vent.

GBEverything rocks...except the new Vent app I generally enjoy my membership at Vent. I love the vibe and all the amenities you get with the $30 Level 2. My PT, Ian, is a fantastic trainer. He's supportive, motivating, and truly invested in your general health and wellbeing. My only gripe is the new Vent app. You used to get points to spend on shakes or merch, or even training sessions on the old app. It connected to my Fitbit and tracked workouts in the app, and you could record workouts on cardio equipment at the gym. The new app does not connect to any devices besides the Vent heart monitor that you have to buy and wear every time you workout to track progress and get points. It's the horrible kind that you have to strap across your chest and is terribly uncomfortable when you are doing floor exercises. It's disappointing to be forced to be uncomfortable in order to track your fitness progress. I really hope Vent app developers hear this from more than just one member and consider adding the option to connect other devices, as the old app allowed. If they did that, I'd be 100% happy with Vent.
