Now the AFG people have moved to GTS and finally with Thrive Travel, I am still having a successful travel experience. My 'hands on' agent Sheena Taylor is to be commended for her patience and diligence.

Our trip to England We booked a trip to London with Stephanie at Thrive Travel who I used years ago when she was at a different agency. Once I let her know my travel dates she gave me some options for business. Initially, the discounts sounded negligible. I contacted through a web ad another consolidator who was very helpful. When I told Stephanie I was talking to another agent she wanted to beat the price of the other person and gave me a definite number which was about $500 cheaper per ticket. By the time I discussed it with my husband that evening and called her first thing the next day, the price had gone up to a similar price as the other agent offered. It was literally under 24 hours. While the ticket was still somewhat cheaper than what I was considering and I preferred the airline she offered, it felt like a bait and switch. So there’s a level of pressure to quickly purchase the ticket before the airline raises it. Also, beware. They say there is no 24 hour grace period after purchasing to cancel. The other agency offered this and I’m not sure it’s even legal. Other than that, I am pleased but will definitely be careful in the future.
