Usa with connecting in Delhi had to spend 5-1/2 hrs + delayed flt in common area - better off buying Indigo or AI

GBAfter sales follow up Dan Nelson, the agent I dealt with, was polite and found me a flight that suited my schedule. I inquired about the ticket restrictions and he said: non-transferable, non-refundable and non-changeable dates. After I booked the ticket, I discovered that I have to pay $100 extra for each leg if I want to select my seats and further, my business class ticket does not entitle me to use the lounge. I called and left a message for Dan but he never responded — why bother, he sold a ticket, right? I think I should have been told about the additional charges for seat assignments and lounge use — amenities that are standard on most business class fares. I value transparency in my dealings.
