Disappointing Experience with Career Upgrader I contracted Career Upgrader after being unemployed during the pandemic and having no luck in finding a new job. Career Upgrader sent me a proposal with the details of their services and we had what they call a Clarity Call to ask questions and better understand their services. Unfortunately, the services I received were far from what they said they will provide. Here are some details in regards to my experience: 1. I did not receive the placement services as per the explanation I received prior to purchasing the services. - No regular meetings/calls were scheduled to provide status on the progress and work completed. I only received a few emails with information about LinkedIn connections requests/calls. - Availability to work on the career placement services seemed to be very limited with periods of times being 100% unavailable. - No leads were provided for potential jobs that match my qualifications and career goals. - No informal networking conversations were coordinated to assist with the job search process. - No informational calls were coordinated to discuss potential job fits with local companies. - No proactive communication to check on my job search progress or intent to continue building a professional relationship. - No interviews (informal or formal) with the companies that were told to have existing relationships with Career Upgrader. 2. Coaching sessions were strictly based on pre-existing documents and were not tailored to my career situation. Additional time to ask questions was strictly limited to remaining call time (if any) after the documents were explained. 3. LinkedIn Profile and Executive Resume were not delivered as per the promised dates. Multiple follow- ups were required before receiving them. My resume was not re-written as per the service explanation but re-formatted to match standard ATS. I was looking forward to working with Career Upgrader and having a great experience, specially while going through such difficult times due to the pandemic. It's disappointing and frustrating to pay so much money when you don't have a job, and end up dealing with businesses with such poor services and ethics. I wish I have had seen honest reviews before contracting Career Upgrader, but the ones I found at the time were mostly from entrepreneurs and not real job seekers.

The Most Inspired & Insightful Career Guidance I've Ever Received I am beyond blessed by the time that Neil Schultz spent with me. His career guidance was inspired and insightful. He literally read my mail, opening my eyes to some truths I needed to hear and confirming that which I had been pondering over the last week of introspection. Neil easily saved me an incalculable amount of time in my decision-making process and provided encouragement necessary to trust my own discernment. I am thrilled that not only do I now have a vision for the career path I need to take now, but also what my calling is and where my passion lies to fulfill it. I am still processing in a such a profound way. Thank you will never be enough for the gift that Neil gave me!

Neil at Career Upgrader was incredibly… Neil at Career Upgrader was incredibly patient with helping me think through professional next steps and focus areas. He took my good, old-fashioned resume and turned it into a modern, multi-focal template that I can use for my preferred job and any others down the road. He gave great advice on not only thinking things through for myself, but also how to then tell my story to various audiences. For me, Career Upgraders were not a resume ghost-writer service but a soundboard, vision guide, marketing expert, and copy-editor. While I didn't use everything delivered as my final product as my own, I did use absolutely everything to guide my creativity and writing for marketing myself professionally. Lastly, I had a family emergency arise during my work with Career Upgraders and they happily accommodated my schedule changes and delayed responses, as well as, provided some much needed professional encouragement to balance family needs with professional development. Great help!

DO NOT USE NEIL, WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY DO NOT USE NEIL. COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME AND IS A COMPLETE SCAM. I signed up for Neil's most expensive package which at the time was $6,000. What I needed most out of the package, which Neil made very clear to me he would focus strongly on, was the job search, connecting me to hiring managers, and using his "connections" to help me network and get interviews. First we worked on Linkedin/resume/elevator pitch etc. which was also USELESS. Complete waste of time. He did not provide ANY knowledge that wasn't common sense. I had worked with career coaches before and I was SHOCKED about how useless his information was. Then, we got to the point of the "course" to start doing the job hunt and using his "connections". For the job search we used a platform called Hunter just to keep track of jobs applied to and the progress of each application, where Neil said he would upload many jobs with use of his connections, while I also would upload and apply to my own jobs of course. I would apply to many jobs a week, and upload them to our job tracker, and he never had any input, never had a single connection at any company, which he claimed he would. In the months we worked together, Neil NEVER uploaded a single job, and never provided me with a single connection at a company. When I called him out about his absence of work and how I was basically paying $6,000 to do my own job search as I normally would do for free, and him not following through on what the $6,000 service I paid for offered and he personally promised me, he actually apologized and admitted he had not been doing his job, and promised he would do a better job, and that he would start uploading jobs and providing me all these connections. He never did. He then uploaded 1 SINGLE job for me to apply to, which was completely out of my league, out of my field, and made zero sense for me, and literally just looked like he found the first job on LinkedIn and uploaded it. I then called him out again, very frustrated that I paid $6,000 to just do my own job search and find my own connections, which I already do on my own for free, he agreed again he had not been doing his job, agreed to void all remaining payments I owed on the $6,000 because it was EXTREMELY CLEAR he had done NOTHING, and he got CAUGHT. After that, I just stopped talking to him. I made it VERY clear to him from the beginning that the reason I am signing up for this expensive $6,000 service is because I need his help with job search, networking, and connections. HE DID NONE OF THAT. I FEEL COMPLETELY SCAMMED. HE DID NOTHING. In the nearly 8 months we worked together, I never received 1 interview, 1 phone screen, 1 phone call, or 1 connection with Neils's assistance. DO NOT USE HIM. SCAM DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE I DID. DO NOT USE HIM. SCAM

Resume Review I worked with Neil to create the perfect resume that I use to apply to jobs. Neil was very detailed and took the time to make sure that my resume was complete and compatible with the jobs that I was most interested in.
