Be sure that the mounting bracket clears the belt guard and use the necessary spacers so that the bolts going through the fender won't touch the tire when going over bumps.

We used to have another brand that due to the natural vibrations of the motorcycle, eventually the locking tab broke off. The mounting system Viking uses is specific to each motorcycle model allowing for a far better installation. The bags themselves look small on the outside, but once you start putting stuff in them, you realize that their looks fool you. Highly recommend them.
