2020 BMW XM Radio Installation After recently buying my 2020 BMW I assumed that it came with Sirius XM installed, it did not. I searched the Internet for solutions and found out that it could be installed later, made some inquiries and discovered that through a BMW dealer it would cost about $550, I then came across BimmerTech and discovered that there was a way to remotely install it with a Bimmer technician, and that would save me about $100. I went ahead and bought the software package along with the plug-in cord required connecting my laptop to the car. It took about an hour working with the technician but successfully installed the XM capability. Works great!

The BMW Map update. The BMW Map update went well and hassle free for the E90 M3. The maps are a bit out of date (2020-21) but much better than what was in the car (2014). The notifications of delivery etc. to New Zealand were excellent, and prompt.

Best customer service I've ever experienced. The customer service and the product are great. Bought this for my son's M4. The USPS lost it in the mail and provided a ridiculous signature. It was a Christmas present and BimmerTech sent another unit, overnight delivery. Then when my son was installing it, he ran into some vehicle specific questions and we received very quick responses from technical service on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. Need Carplay in an older BMW? YES!!! This is it! I watched a few videos prior to purchase, as MMI Prime was very well reviewed and the product turns the dull old i-Drive into a modern CarPlay machine. I purchased the MMI Prime from the website, and it shipped and arrived very quickly. It took me a couple of hours to install, as I also installed a rear camera that attached to the MMI Prime (from BimmerTech). The provided instructions were clear, concise and easy to follow. Every car probably has unique fitment issues as they are all different, my F10 only differed slightly from the instructions, but generally speaking there is plenty of room to secure the unit behind the dash. The cables supplied had sufficient length and was never an issue. The cable connecters were spot on perfect and there are no special wire joints needed. Truly plug and play! Once the unit was installed, it started working immediately and was able to pair my phone on the first try. The i-Drive controller navigation works better than I expected, and the overall the experience makes it a joy to use. The MMI Prime has plenty of settings to tweak it to your own liking (like EQ) and are easy to find and understand. So far everything is working as expected. I'm super happy to have made this purchase and would highly recommend this to anyone trying to add CarPlay in an older BMW.

I spoke with a representative via chat online and the customer service was awesome. Quick and responsive and gave me great insurance and confidence with my purchase. I wanted it so my son could watch movies while in the car and/or long road trips. Total game Changer, and the process only took about 15 to 20 minutes.
