When Avvo came out is was no darling of lawyers.n fact many sued Avvo contesting bad reviews. Most if not all lost.Some of those same lawyers are complaining at this site. I Unlike Google, Avvo does actively police for fake reviews and will remove those. Avvo was sold last year. Whether the new owners live up to Mr. Britton's vision is yet to be determined.

Avvo has designed a system to deceive the… Avvo runs a scammed system to deceive the public. Any lawyer who receives a negative review can dispute it, and it will be removed by Avvo. The lawyer does not have to tell Avvo any facts about what is being disputed. If a new review is written it will be denied as duplicative even if all the facts are different. So a lawyer can bury negative reviews with a single word "DISPUTE " and Avvo will assist. Then Avvo has the system "fixed" to reject subsequent negative reviews.

AVVO will not print the negative review I wrote up against a law firm in Wyoming AVVO is nothing more than a site who only wants Happy Reviews on lawyers. I had a terrible experience with the Platte River Injury Law Firm. I wasted 9 full months with this company, who was supposed to sue a negligent Wyoming neurologist. They pretended to be very interested in my case. In the end, they did nothing and it cost me alot of money to try to get well. I wrote up a negative review, and 2 times AVVO rejected the review. I guess they are running a lawyer protection website and does not want to hear anything bad about a law firm. Don't waste your time on AVVO if you have anything negative to say about any attorney.

Tried posting a negative review about a… Tried posting a negative review about a racist lawyer, but they rejected it because it " goes againt community guidlines" how is warning people of a racist lawyer a bad thing??? Beats me. The crazy part is theres videos all over the internet about said lawyer, but i guess they have to protect rheir clientele even if they are racist jerks.

Really disappointed with this website Really disappointed with this website. I asked an immigration question.. 2 “attorneys” replied and they were so patronising and rude. When I pointed out to one how rude they were (one of them had made some incorrect assumptions- sadly avvo only gives you a certain amount of characters to write), they deleted my question. When I googled the attorneys, neither had a website, and one had gone to a really dubious college. Not recommended
