UNPAKT IS PAID DIRECTLY FOR THE MOVE FROM THE CUSTOMER AND THE ACTUAL CARRIER WHO COMPLETES THE MOVE HAS TO WAIT MONTHS TO BE PAID FROM UNPAKT. WHEN YOU CALL ABOUT YOUR MONEY THEY JUST SAY SEND THEM AN EMIL. AFTER 5 EMAILS I HAVE YET TO GET A RESPONSE AND STILL WAITING TO BE PAID!

Stolen labor and scam for moving companies and lying to people who book the move Hi to everyone For moving business who wants to do the jobs for Unpakt and customers: People book the move using the Unpakt platform. After, Unpakt hire small moving companies to perform the job. The companies do the job but the payment for the job receives the Unpakt, not the moving company. After, Unpakt is not paying the moving company for the job performed. The moving company calls them, send them multiple emails, and nothing. What are they doing is fraud and they need to be reported for stolen labor. Advice for customers: Book directly with a legit moving company. Don't use the Unpakt platform. They still hire moving companies and in the end, don't pay them. They are using people's money but this money goes into Unpakt pocket, not to the moving company who is moving you. BTW, When you go with Unpakt you pay approximately 20-30% more for your move.

Unclear on what the service actually probides I was unaware that I required a parking permit for loading and unloading, meaning that the move had to be cancled. The unpakt team didn't mention that this may be an issue worth investigating, additionally much of the literature on the site says that you don't need to contact your mover before the move because 'it's all settled'. I'm extremely frustrated with their service, when I called the customer service rep they said "oh yea, well you should have done that, I know it's not on our website. Nothing we can do sorry". Not a great experience.

Thumbs Down Unpakt Does not answer e-mails Unpakt did not address my concerns when I wrote them about my problem. Requested in home consultation of 2 moving. Heard from 1 within 1 hour confirming appointment. I took afternoon off from work to meet with them. They never showed up or called. They called 6 days later to come. I told them not to bother. I would never use this service for a move, you would be lucky if they show up to move you. I e-mailed unpakt with my complaint and never heard from them.

Got the job done but not great I will say that everything was moved as warranted. However, the quote that I was promised versus what I was actually charged was different. On top of that, the movers, once at my new place charged me an additional fee and expected me to pay on the spot. Overall I'm satisfied my stuff was moved (pretty low bar) but am very disappointed in the vagueness of pricing and added fees charged to me by the movers. I would not recommend this service because of these issues.
