A little bit too big for our 6 inch timbers We love the look and quality, but we needed them for 6 inch timbers. They hang over a little bit so they must have been for 8 inch timbers. There was not an option to choose the timber size, but the description said they were for 6 inch timbers.

I don't think I would have ordered this product online but for the fact that Timberplates website has such advanced features that allowed me to be confident that I was getting exactly what I needed. Plus, it was a big bonus that I could get the plates in powder black coating, so they matched other plate hardware that I'm using in my old barn project. I am very happy and very satisfied with what Timberplate produced for me.
