About PlateJoy

We started PlateJoy because we know how hard it is to maintain a healthy diet on top of a busy schedule. Too often, we'd come home after a long day and order unhealthy take-out because there was nothing in the fridge. Or we'd find ourselves in line at ...

The recipes are good and easy to… The recipes are good and easy to follow. My issues are, the selection and variety could be better, the recipes aren't seasonal (use of oven during the summer, basil in the winter, etc). Often the recipes also cover two food groups (protein and starch, or protein and greens, but not all three).

Platejoy is worth the modest fee Platejoy is worth the modest fee. Straight forward, convenient, clean eating meal plans and shopping lists. Eclectic meals in under 30 minutes - 98% well received and include old favourites: chocolate, avocados, nuts, seeds, spices, etc. Platejoy staff are ethical and approachable and don’t bombard you with unwanted promos. I can spend my time doing other things knowing I’m providing good nutrition. Blood results confirm this.

Platejoy is Life-Changing I love Platejoy. It incorporates some of my favorite things about meal prep boxes into a more sustainable, cheaper system that's completely customizable based on our family needs and the week at hand. Platejoy has cur down my meal planning time immensely. Also, I have not had one meal yet that I didn't like! Most I absolutely love. The recipes are typically pretty easy to follow (sometimes there are errors, but if you know basic cooking, you'll be fine). Overall I have saved money, time, and effort and I'm really pleased.

The worst app I have tried for food… The worst app I have tried for food menu suggestion. App is filled with bugs, that customer service just tells "It is by design", for example, your recipe calls for X ingredient, but the list will actually call for something completely different, that isn't even needed, so you waste food and have to go to grocery store to buy more stuff. Customer service is rude, dismissive and just plain do not understand customer problems.

No more “What’s for Dinner?” My family of 5, 3 of those children, have been using PlateJoy for a few months and it’s helped us tremendously stay on track with our health goals and budget! It’s easy to use, send the grocery list to Instacart or print and get your shopping done. We’re very busy-with crazy schedules and this takes one less worry and stops one more potential arguement: “what’s for dinner?” That both of us hate to ask each other!
