Should have started sooner. I’d taken brief jazz lessons years ago and never furthered my education. I’ve followed pick up since their inception and have only recently decided to explore jazz again. It’s a mistake that it took me long to do so. This program is expertly guided and easy to navigate. Fast improvement and clear learning structure really great lessons! It's very clearly mapped out so you can get fast improvement. Only downside is I've submitted several videos for feedback and have not received any feedback yet. Other than that, I really enjoy learning with Pickup music and would recommend, especially if you're just starting out.

If you have stalled, give this a try! I learned to play guitar 20+ yrs ago, but never kept with it since I only took lessons for about a year. I came across Pickup Music from an Instagram ad and that shouldn't steer you away. The lessons are easy bite-size chunks that won't wear you down or bore you. They keep it fast paced which helps me get formal practice in before I play songs of my own choosing.

Worth every penny, and then some I was an intermediate guitar player that struggled to take my playing to the next level, so I decided to give pickupmusic.com a try. I started with the CAGED course and it opened up an entire new world for me. Dr. Miller is a fantastic instructor and helped me push past the rut I was in. I took quite a few courses after CAGED and they all helped with diversifying my playing. But now I’m taking their Soloing course and it’s giving me the skills and confidence of putting together my own solos, as well as improvising. I’m currently studying one of their pieces and transcribing my own solo, I’m calling it my capstone. I’d like to thank all the instructors. They’re all awesome. Even better, sometimes they put on zoom sessions, at no extra cost. You can also submit videos for feedback; I submitted one and received excellent, customized advice. And Sam’s weekly emails are always informative.
