Very useful course. Three years ago I enrolled in a "brick-and-mortar" TEFL course, which consisted of three distinct class, and cost 4-5 times as much as this course. I did not complete it as I had already secured a maths/EAP teaching position midway through the second course, and honestly needed the money more than I needed any additional knowledge at that point. Moving forward to this year, the 120 hour TEFL certificate is now required in order to work in China. So I chose to enrol in this course because I could do it at home at my own pace. I'm absolutely glad that I chose to do so. Any self-respecting autodidact knows that the classroom setting is not conducive to their learning. Conducting a self-directed study allows the autodidact to teach themselves without being hindered by the manifold musings of other classmates. More material can be digested in the same amount of time. Period. What's more, the material presented in this course is highly useful, succinct, and interesting, and the assignments are extremely useful and thought-provoking. More Than I Expected! I studied the program at TEFLOnline because I wanted to teach English as a foreign or second language. Little did I know at the time that I would be invited to teach Business Studies in a bilingual school in Uruguay, in English. However, what I did not realize is that the level of English that the students have, has given me the opportunity to use almost everything I studied with TEFLOnline! I could not have picked a more accurate, helpful, useful, challenging and meaningful course of study. Having a tutor available all the time who responded quickly to my questions and frustrations, and gave me great suggestions which continue to help me today, was priceless. Not currently a member of IATEFL ITTO (International Teacher Training Organization)-based in Mexico.Researching the TESOL/TEFL courses, I saw that their Website claims they are a member of IATEFL. I checked with IATEFL and they confirmed ITTO is not currently a member. I had emailed ITTO to ask about the course, they had replied. However when I asked them about the IATEFL membership, they stopped communicating. Telephone support may be based in India. Gave somewhat vague answers to my questions.

Trustworthy At first I didn't know what to expect since I had never done a certification or even taken a class online. After getting done with the first few modules I knew that this was going to work out. It wasn't until I had to do the final test that i knew I was going to have to work for this. It took me half my tries but when I passed I was happy that I could proudly say that I have a certificate on TEFL!!! I have already told people about this amazing site and I hope that they use it!!
