GBWriting Scientific Papers and Delivering Presentations Course The class was excellent, with many opportunities for feedback and practice. For anyone who has to write or present, the tools, techniques, and concepts covered are invaluable. The organization I work for seems to assume that scientists and engineers learned everything they need to know about writing technical papers and delivering presentations in college, and doesn't see a need to provide ongoing mentoring and training, other than informally. Hopefully that can be changed.

GBValuable Pam came to our location and gave us a very valuable training on writing that applied to many aspects of our day to day work; emails, protocols, procedures, reports, etc. I have not taken a composition course since undergraduate school and much has changed! I highly recommend Hurley Write. Bring Pam to your group, you won't regret it.

GBGood class to learn the specifics of technical writing Over pretty good class. The information was informative. Course material is good as well. Feedback on homework assignments was prompt! For some constructive criticism....Maybe consider providing example homework problems and solutions in the primer or cheat sheet (or new document). While examples are offered in the videos, it would be good to have reference problems and solutions in .pdf form or similar.

GBWriting class The class was very informative and well organized; the only one detail that I would work on is the materials that were distributed in class. While the packaging is professionally done, the content needs to have more examples and something that the student can take home and “hang their hat on”. The instructor is very knowledgeable and has a wealth of information that she lectures therefore, if that information can be captured in the hand out that would make the class a 5-plus star.

GBThe classes are knowledgeable and informing. Pam provided various writing examples and demonstrated how to improve writing of documents. Focusing on the subject and getting to its point Not using a lot of extra wording or “fluff.” The class makes one more cautious of their writing capabilities.
