Dinolingo makes it fun for my kids to… Dinolingo makes it fun for my kids to learn a language. It’s good that recently more concepts and vocabularies were added. Also, it is helpful that there are videos with the language itself being used and the kids say after the words introduced. One thing to improve on however is the quality of the videos. Some graphics and arts are outdated my kids sometimes find the images scary or weird. Overall, it is a good app that is reasonably priced.

The app seems really great so far.. The app seems really great so far... I'm using it with my 6yo and I find I need to sit with her to help her understand the tasks. The only negative so far is the music that plays throughout which makes the spoken words quite difficult to hear. Maybe I haven't found a way to turn this off but it seems counter-intuitive to play music over the top when trying to clearly pronounce and teach foreign words... 🤔

I can't cancel my free trial before it expires There is no clear link or explanation for canceling the subscription before the trial expires. They put you in a loop of email, but no link on how to cancel effectively. I'm very frustrated.

I’m learning Portuguese on Duolingo but… I’m learning Portuguese on Duolingo but after several months in and a purchased 1 year subscription I am told that it isn’t in fact Portuguese from Portugal I’m learning but Brazilian Portuguese. No sign of European Portuguese available any time soon either. Duolingo is very effective though. It makes practice fun.

I wish more people knew about this As a long time Duolingo user I've always wished for more language options. Languages like Punjabi and Urdu are so intimidating to me for their pronunciation and scripts alone. It's important to recognize that these are skills that take time and patience to learn, even as an adult. Duolingo expects too many skills at the start. Dinolingo focuses on the core skills that develop language fluency from the start. If you want to learn a language in a more immersive manner then this is your way to go. Great for kids and adults alike
