PRI've tried them all... I've tried Babbel, Rosetta Stone, DuoLingo, etc and honestly found all of them to be frustratingly bad. I also tried watching NetFlix in Spanish with English Captions on, but found the translations tend to paraphrase vs spell out what's actually being said so it's not great for learning. LingoPie's captions are accurate, allow you to pause on words you don't know, determine the speed at which people are talking, etc, etc. LingoPie also offers instruction with live teachers. I don't know of a single online platform that can even touch Lingopie when it comes to learning Spanish.

DEExcellent language-learning resource As both a language teacher and learner, I find this a great resource. Excellent quality shows, a user-friendly platform, and thus far zero tech problems to speak of for me.

GBFrustratingly glitchy......Has potential though I love the idea of this app and I think it could really help you improve your language skills especially if you are at the intermediate level. However, and this is a BIG however, the app is extremely glitchy. I constantly am having issues regardless of whether I use my Google Pixel phone, tablet or try to cast to my brand new LG TV. NOTHING works as it should. I even bought a chromecast for my new TV and I am still having issues. I was able to cast but the quality of the videos was poor and it showed but English and Spanish subtitles even though I chose only the Spanish ones. I have probably spent at least 15 hours trying to figure this all out but to no avail. So frustrating because I do think this has potential.

CHThis is a great way to learn This is a great way to learn. Watching films, TV shows and learning vidoes and getting to see the translation in both your language and the one you wish to learn. You can also click on any word and it will be saved for you to revise after the film is finished.

CRFun & entertaining interactive learning I am thrilled to be given a variety of genres in film and series, with differing dialects and culture from within the same Language. I find it helpful to be able to read simultaneously on screen the subtitles in 2 languages, my own and the language I'm studying. The grammar panel on the side with options to read along with the transcript and, to select and save expressions and words throughout viewing is a great tool. Self-correction guidance is made easy when given the option to take customised tests at the end of my viewing. I highly recommend this to anyone!
