Guitar Instruction in bite-sized chunks This course is great! You can learn at your own pace, and the instructional videos are very helpful. These folks clearly know their stuff, and the bite-sized lessons are great for people like me with crazy schedules. I really like that with the revised curriculum each new technique is followed by a practical application in a song.

The cost of the program at the time of my participation was roughly the equivalent of 60-minute weekly private lessons for one (to two) years. I benefited immensely from the sequencing and independent pacing of the curriculum and learned guitar in a way I had not been able to through self-led study. When I had more time, I progressed very quickly; and when I had a baby and had to adjust my practice commitments, it was right there, ready whenever I was. Three years later, I find myself wanting to go back through certain points of the program to further deepen my skills. And, unlike private lessons, I can still utilize the program for study. It's not a one-time benefit!

The more I progress through the curriculum and connect with the instructors the more I get back in playing ability. Highly recommend this way of learning to play the guitar and become more musical in general. What you learn here is transferrable. Something I'm excited about is that I can sing pitches accurately now and this has unlocked so much musically for me. Shout out to Trevor Giancola for honing in on this with me and helping me unlock that skill! I developed this while completing one on one instruction with him (mentorship program) over several months.

Truly a pathway to fluency Going from one lesson a week with a guitar teacher to then transitioning to a program like Sonora was a game changer. You are able to improve your skills drastically. With step by step guides on what to practice, why you're practicing what you're practicing and a clear path to fretboard fluency. I've made many connections with things I'd been playing for a long time but didn't understand, and beyond. It's a great feeling being in the hands of an amazing program like this along with their outstanding mentors.

Mostly, he has given me the confidence that I need to make it to where I want to be as a guitar player. You would think that in this day and age, you could accomplish that with YouTube, however, there's nothing like the real deal. A person that will analyze your playing, that will give you feedback, that will let you know when you are doing something wrong and when you are doing something right, and support you with enthusiasm every step of the way. I highly recommend giving Sonora Guitar Intensive a try. I have been doing it for 9 months now and my guitar playing reflects it.
