GBWonderful Preschool Experience We're into our third year at Woodcrest Preschool in Sherman Oaks. Our daughter started the week she turned 2 and is now in her last year before Kindergarten. We're amazed at what she has learned at Woodcrest. She knows a lot about many different subjects and her writing and reading foundation is already very strong. She will definitely be kindergarten ready. We love their focus on play and exploration in addition to the academics. The Summer Program is also really great, it includes extracurricular shows, interactive experiences (pony rides, water play days, animal shows, etc) and growing a garden. We also love the bonus offerings (for an additional cost). They offer Play Ball, Dance class and Bricks for Kids. And a bonus for parents, you get updates and photos throughout the day, which is so nice to have when you're away from your child! We work full time, so the hours are GREAT for that (6:30a-6:30p). We love the staff, the teachers and the vendors they bring into the classrooms.

GBGreat School Sherry Morales, Director of Woodcrest Preschool Agoura, is a great leader and champion for the children, teachers, and parents of Woodcrest Preschool. In my opinion, Sherry emboldens each member of her staff to be highly productive, effective, and confident child care providers, thus producing very happy, healthy, and educated children. Ms. Court, teacher for my grandson’s 3-year-old class, is deeply committed to each child’s personal and educational growth, health, and wellbeing. Ms. Court actively engages with her children and recognizes the fundamental value of taking the time to explain things to each child so they have a complete understanding of what they may be physically doing or learning at each stage of the day. Ms. Court works tirelessly to help each child build successful relationships with all the children in her care, thus resulting in an organized, nurturing, loving, and safe environment. Ms. Court exemplifies what a dedicated teacher is.

GBSecond time around and just as happy My older daughter was at Woodcrest from two years old until pre-K. Now my younger daughter has started at the school in the two year old classroom. I have always been satisfied with the teachers, the classroom activities and lessons. The school has improved over the years, incorporating technology into their security and classrooms. I love receiving pictures and videos everyday of my daughter, playing, coloring, or even riding a pony at school. I have recommended to this school to other family and friends and will continue to do so in the future.

GBMrs. Julie at Woodcrest Tarzana,CA My child has been attending Woodcrest Preschool in Tarzana,CA. for a year now. I love the staff there. The Director of the School Mrs. Julie is very thorough with how she runs the program there. Mrs. Julie has the ability to connect with every parent and child that attends the preschool. It's because of Mrs. Julie that I trust my child being there and have not considered any other School in the San Fernando Valley. I know my child is safe, well taken care of , fed healthy meals , socially developing on time and learning a lot of new things.

GBMy daughter attended Woodcrest Tarzana … My daughter attended Woodcrest Tarzana for 2yrs before we transitioned her to our home school (kindergarten). Her first 6mos with the 2-3yr old class was amazing. Ms Ana and Mrs Adriana are the best. Such an amazing duo they are. They cared deeply about each and every child under their care. I noticed my daughter excelling very quickly in her acedemics and social skills. These two set the foundation for her moving forward to more advanced learning. Woodcrest has some great outside class room programs like dance, play ball, lego, swim, etc... my daughter loved these classes. However, I did feela bit of pressure to put her in one of these programs because of other kids were going. But I restricted her to one program at a time and she understood. Week/monthly activities- I loved the on-going activities they had per classroom with potlucks, pajama day, dress up day, science experiments etc... Some cons: Parking is a bit rough especially around summer time and when there are events. However, Woodcrest now has a parking attendant that help facilitate organization to keep moving people in and out. Preschool has a high turnover. Once my daughter moved out of Ana's class she went through 3-4 teachers. They certainly have some opportunity t improve their retention of teachers. Overall, we really enjoyed Woodcrest Tarzana preschool. The new Director Julie is really making some nice changes to the preschool. And she is very warm and welcoming to parents. We will greatly miss everyone we've met throughout our time at Woodcrest.
