Maptitude - a key tool in my tool chest I've been using Maptitude for over a decade in land use, transportation planning, and market research work. Over the years, I've also tried other GIS tools and have to say that I found nothing that comes close to the combination of ease of use, richness of features, and quick application to the task at hand that I have with Maptitude. It is a very well thought out tool with great tech support that will go the extra mile to meet your needs.

As a complete Maptitude novice As a complete Maptitude novice, I used the software to create a literary map of the greater Boston and Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA, area. Boston has a rich literary past and present; I easily got the software to dot the map with features that highlighted writers' homes and well-known public hangouts. A fun exercise!

GIS technology for everyone I have worked with Caliper products for 10 years as a transportation/urban planner and they have always fulfilled my needs. Maptitude/TransCAD software are easy to use, organized and robust: able to cope with large datasets without any problems. The user interface is very clear and easy to understand. The exchange of data and databases across several formats is also very simple and functional. The two-way direct link with Google Earth makes my projects look really interesting. I have adopted Maptitude in my GIS classes and it has been a great success with the students. They get excited in learning the geoprocessing techniques with such a technology that Maptitude provides.

At awesome product As a GIS programmer and consultant I have used Maptitude for 22 years for hundreds of projects having switched from ESRI and a few other GIS products.. Maptitude has become a super-stable, powerful, easy to use, highly productive GIS. The speed at which it can manipulate data and display and label maps is amazing. It makes beautiful, colorful, well-labeled maps and if you really want to customize and automate your app you can use the built in GISDK language which has wonderful development and debugging tools. Their support is great also!

Maptitude is the greatest deal in GIS applicaitons I've been using Maptitude for about four years. It is an OUTSTANDING product and is the most powerful GIS application on the market today for the price. Nothing else can touch it. And the learning curve is virtually nothing--it is the easiest GIS software that I've learned. I've appreciate their customer support and training packages. All in all, this is a very, very impressive product at a great company.
