GBLiterally the WORST program I have ever… Literally the WORST program I have ever used. It seems like such a wonderful program then, WHAM, "This project is invalid or corrupt and cannot be opened. It may have been created in an earlier version of Storyline." error message appears and EVERYTHING you have done is lost. I've lost so many projects, weeks of work, only to start over. So, make backups, you say, Yup, made 4 of them and they are now all corrupted. There are no backup files, though it is set to save automatically, which is useless as the file is corrupted. Literally, saved the project. Closed it out. Opened it back up to make a correction and the error message popped up. And guess what, there is NOTHING I can do about it. Search the community, it's like oh, sorry, sucks to be you, sort of attitude. This is NOT a product for professional usage, especially when you have deadlines and all your work gets corrupted. Note: I had no other programs working. I've been saving versions 1, 2, 3, so I have additional copies. Today, after making additional copies, from a version that worked mere seconds before, all of the files came up with the corrupted message. I have contacted Articulate and opened a case. EVEN if they can get my projects back, I'm stuck sitting here writing a review of how horrible the product is, instead of working on my projects.

CAOne of the worst buggy products I have every used One of the worst buggy products I have ever worked with. Their Storyline software is only available for Windows OS. Within Storyline they have a feature to import powerpoint slide, which 50% will important the images properly and 50% the images in the slides are not imported at all. Any animations in powerpoint slides does not work properly either in Storyline. On top of that it keep on crashing if I copy and paste an image directly in Storyline or record an audio longer than 1 min. Also Storyline doesn't work properly on 4K monitors, and they don't plan to make any improvement for it anytime soon. Their support recommends that we change the resolution of the screen. See for your self on their community portal where some important requested features have been overlooked for 4+ years and no proper response from their teams. Many expressing their frustration on this community posts. Their Rise 360 project which allow you to create more text heavy based course, is PIA to use as well. The experience of editing content (mainly images, videos, and interactivity) is not that good either. Not to mention they are very expensive compared to the quality of the software.

CASolid products, even better community. Articulate does a good job at providing intuitive, easy-to-use eLearning-related software that is great for beginners, but still provides value to those with more advanced skills. While for a time they seemed to be falling a bit behind the competition, they have recently picked-up their game again by providing new modernized offerings and have started moving toward a subscription-based payment model -- I say started because currently it's not nearly as flexible as I'd like it to be, but at least they are moving in the right direction. I think the most powerful aspect of Articulate is the highly engaged user community that they have developed. They do an amazing job of engaging and supporting users in their community, and consistently provide great content and challenges to keep those users learning and developing their skills.

GBI really like this bit of software I really like this bit of software. Both Storyline and Rise give course developers some great tools to create eye catching and engaging courses whatever the content. Only not giving 5 Stars because they continue to not create software that works on a Mac, which is just crazy!
