ROSince I'm using dark mode in almost… Since I'm using dark mode in almost everythings OS, Visual Studio, browsers, all apps ...SSMS was the only one left that didn't suuport dark mode (I tried to use Azure Data Studio client but it doesn't have all the capabilites that SSMS has for managing a SQL Server instance)

DECool piece of software! In general I like the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. For decades it helps to access SQL Server databases. Every new version is like the old one. With a hack you could even get something like a dark theme. With black letters on black background in context menus. And the hack disappears with every new version of SSMS. Now I found SQL Shades. It contains a real dark theme with readable context menus and brings the UI of SSMS to the current decade. Thank you very much for this leightweight solution of a obvious request!

ROVery useful tool Very useful tool, given that SSMS lacks a dark mode. Still has some minor issues in the dialogs, but the main window of SSMS and the text editor are perfect.

GBIt just works. And it's free! For any real developer spending time in SSMS (or with it windowed), the incessant glare of white real estate -- a "dark theme" oversight -- is an irritation that turns quickly to a headache. SQL Shades is a perfect solution: It just works. Even better, it's free (without nags)! Nevertheless I found it so useful, I donated "a coffee." The developer, Michael Van Devender, is friendly and responsive to user issues -- and proactive in development. I only just upgraded to v20 and his SQL Shades already supported it.
