About American Massage Therapy Association

The American Massage Therapy Association is the largest non-profit, professional association serving massage therapists, massage students and massage schools. We are guided by a volunteer national Board of Directors who sets the course for the association. As a member-driven organization, we are constantly in conversation with our members through surveys, phone calls, emails and social media to understand the diverse needs of all of our members and their hopes for the profession. We advocate for the issues important to massage therapists across the country at the federal, state and local levels of government. We promote the health benefits of massage to the public, the health care community and other important groups. AMTA provides its members with the strongest benefits in the massage therapy profession and has been serving our community for over 75 years.

Amazing!! I've always had a great experience calling AMTA. This time is was exceptional! I was not only helped, but it was with grace and compassion. Thank you Rose! I will never leave. Not only does AMTA treat you amazingly, but there CEU's are very cost effective. As a single mom that is so appreciated especially in todays economy. And my Massage magazine is always on target with what we need to know in todays world of massage. So much Gratitude Forever AMTA fan H.S.

Stupendous! AMTA is one of the most reliable massage therapy associations you will find in the field of healthcare for massage therapy! Five stars, they are very professional providing quality customer care and handling issues over the phone, etc. I will always be an AMTA member for my career and life as an LMT! Thank you AMTA for everything you do and all the extra miles you go for each and every member of your association! Diana Summers, LMT TN AMTA Chapter

Great service and easy to follow… Great service and easy to follow instructions. The staff were very helpful to answer all my inquiries and very professional. I love that AMTA includes Dual Certification I. e. Yoga Instructors. It saves me money and I am able to provide more services to my clients. Joining AMTA has a lot of benefits and the practice doesn't just limit me to massages. Looking forward to discover the rest of my benefits along the way...

Massage therapy needs a rebranding Hi folks, This is going to sound rude but I felt that my association with AMTA was mostly irrelevant. I appreciated some of the low cost training but any other benefits really didn't amount to much. The magazine is awful; I feel like you're just recycling articles from over the years with no new information. Massage therapy has a lot to offer but without some kind of rebranding it's never going to get the credit it deserves. Cheers

I am always able to get ahold of… I am always able to get ahold of someone with questions that I have had in the past. I was really impressed with the email and video of what they covered when the pandemic hit. I feel confident with my practice knowing I am supported and covered with AMTA. I have also utilized many of their discounts offered through massage book and ordering supplies. I have enjoyed the pathway they have set up for success and guidance in my practice.
