Hostelbookers was easy to use and pretty cheap The site is user-friendly and the commission is not too steep to book a hostel for cheap. I would use the site again!

Quite easy to use, but needs better filters Really love this site and use it all the time, but in the case I found that there was a lack of search filters. One crucial criteria was having air conditioning but there was no way to select for this option, making it quite a cumbersome search process. Maybe having amenities filters would be a good improvement.

Good but not perfect Hostelbookers is one of my favorite places to book my stay. I never had any problems with the reservation after arrival, everything went smooth and nice. There is a one thing you have to know (at least it was a bit surprising for me, but I haven't read the small text underneath the transaction details :)) - the payment is always converted into British pounds, so if you have a bank account in some other currency you have to pay additional fee, so at the end it costs you a bit more.
