Onboarding Experience Onboarding Experience: After the pandemic, re-entering the workforce as a Consultant was a new and daunting experience for me. Alisha and I met several times in January, February & March 2022 (and moving forward, whenever I request) to introduce me to a few platforms I would be working with but had never used before. She soon realized that the way I learn best was through interactive instruction as well as documents, spreadsheets and timetables outlining the processes so that I could review in Test sequences on my own. Repetitive instruction soon gave me the confidence I needed to do the database part of my job. The interaction with clients was a more natural process for me although she also created templates to help get the conversation started with our clients. That intuition - the ability to recognize how other people learn - does not come naturally to most instructors. But in Alisha's case, it was crucial to making my onboarding sessions swift, accurate and productive. I still could not ask for a better teacher when it comes time to learn a new skill on our platforms or in customer and sales support.
