I paid $6,000 to this organization… I paid $6,000 to this organization after my sentencing, and was misled to think they could reduce my "time". But I did not get one day reduced because I had a short sentence. (They should have known that). Also, when I was in Prison I met others who were dissatisfied that when they entered prison they felt abandoned by this group, as did I. They are excellent in preparing you to enter prison. I like the group personally but feel they need help with PR after they cash your check. They did help me with making my prison time more understandable and more pleasant and I am grateful for that. I have really tried to get help after I am out of prison, with shortening my 3 years probation, but have not gotten a bit of help. So maybe somebody could advise me what to do. I looked on line, and it seems that after one year, a petition can be made to end this .

Accountability, Sincerity, and Rewards The process of mitigation was truly rewarding for me. Well beyond the reward of my sentence being more than 13 months lower than the US Attorney sought (they wanted 33 months, sentence is 20). Going through the steps allowed me to sincerely own my accountability and express that throughout the presentence interview, my narrative, and my oral statement to the court. Having put in the necessary work, all mitigation on my part was cohesive, well stated, sincere, and meaningfully effective. The goals of the work were completely met, but even more the residual effects have been just as rewarding; allowing myself to take accountability, sincerely show remorse in both words and actions, and best of all focus on future goals. The work perfectly balances addressing the past while looking to the future. And as important as it is for the Court to see that, it allowed me as a person to really hear that as well. Every bit of guided work that I put in was rewarded in both tangible and intangible ways. I'm grateful for those who went before me always willing to listen, offer advice, and the guidance needed.

When I went to Michael Santos and his… When I went to Michael Santos and his team, I was 25 years old and scared because I didn’t know how to navigate the next part of my life and the charges made against me by the US Government. Mr. Santos offered guidance and perspective to my life and it tremendously ease the pain I was going through as well as created clarity to walk forward into the next chapter of my life. The price I paid is minuscule compared to price of freedom & mitigation of the time I would have spent in prison. Thank you again and god bless.
