Install harder than expected Overall the product arrived in good shape as I ordered. Impressive. The installation was a pain. I installed on our outside screen porch. I chose an inside mount and didn't realize how hard it would be to get a perfectly straight, perfectly level setup for three small clips that hold up the shade. I did have a problem mounting the clips to the rail on the top of the shade. I had to bend the lip of the rail a bit for all clips so the clip would extend far enough into the rail to create a tight fit, otherwise the clips kept popping out. I wish there had been a better solution to attach for an inside mount such as a supplied rail that was the length of the shade so I could easily level and line up vs independent clips, Or have a way to connect on both ends of the shade to the posts/wall.

Nice shade with smooth operation My excitement when the order arrived soon turned to dismay when I discovered the brackets required to hang it were missing. The first step in the instructions was to attach the non-existent brackets. Fortunately, customer support told me to look on the header where I found them. After that, installation and initial setup were both easy. I did run into many issues after connecting the Zigbee motor to my Smart Things hub, the travel limits were deleted, the remote no longer worked, the travel direction was reversed, and more. With unlimited patience, all this was finally straightened out. But when a connection was restored to the remote the connection to the Smart Things hub was lost. Perhaps it can't connect to both at the same time??? I can't find anything on this in the manual or on their website. I'm reluctant to continue experimenting now that it works but I'll try again soon. One feature which is awesome is that when nearing the up or down limit, the motor slows to a crawl so that last-inch closing (or opening) is slow and gentle. I'm upgrading my initial review to 4-stars after help in locating the brackets.

These blinds have exceeded our… These blinds have exceeded our expectations. Quality wise, the fabric is beautiful and feels very durable. We went with the blackout fabric as the back up and it works great. The app that comes with the blinds could be better and more user friendly but it works great with Alexa so that makes up for the app. Also the control works great and it is modern and simple. Overall, very satisfied with our purchase the value that we are getting from it.

This is my second set of Smartwings… This is my second set of Smartwings blinds. I originally did my kitchen windows and I liked them so much I decided to do my sunroom windows. I have the zigbee motors that integrate well with my Alexa Echo. The blinds arrived quickly, well packaged, with everything I needed to install them.
