GBSigns you up in a Sneaky way... The Times has a very sneaky way of signing you up. It lets you view part of an article but asks you to sign up for a subscription. This seems fair and its what I did. What you cannot do is cancel or modify your subscription on-line. Instead you have to jump through hoops and talk to someone. You have to wait 15-20 mins to modify or cancel your subscription. WHY? Because they want to stop you leaving. Ironically I initially wanted to change my subscription to a one year digital for £99 BUT in the end due to the hassle and delay I cancelled. WHY CAN I NOT CANCEL ONLINE!!!! For me this raises questions for me about the integrity and ethics of their business model and therefore their company culture and ultimately their journalism. The Times Publishers please re-think your business model and customer expereince.
