Excellent customer service representative. I spoke with your representative Susanna (SP?) Who very professionally calmed this grumpy old Floridian. She took extra time to make sure that I understood everything and that all of my questions were answered. Terrific customer service person, and I don't say that very often!

My Florida Homeowner Recommendation Started out with an online application at Kin.com after seeing positive reviews when google searching for good home owners insurance in Florida. I realized I needed to talk to a person to fine tune the quote and was delighted to call and have Mr. Chris DeNoma, Insurance consultant pickup! His easy going, warm manner, thorough knowledge base and professional counsel led to securing a well covered and reasonably priced policy today. I had to use chat to clarify an issue on the customer portal and that was smooth as silk. The communications online, texting, .pdf documents, portal setup, were easy, helpful, and now one more big item checked off as we approach our house closing date. Seems like a great team. I’ll recommend without hesitation. Special thanks to Chris DeNoma !

They mislead you and don't pay out We have just had our claim denied. We have been with them for two and a half years now. We stayed with them even when they doubled our insurance a year after we went with them. A couple of weeks a i noticed a damp smell in the house. I tried to find if someone had left a damp washcloth somewhere, searched under my sinks for leaks for leaks and tried to track down the issue. Then I had to move some items stored long term in the bottom of my pantry and found mould. From what we could work out we had a leak inside the wall, from a pipe that leads to an outside time, at a point between the inside and outside walls. No obvious water just the mould and damp. We called them and the advised us they would not cover the plumbing. As someone from the UK I found this weird, but we were led to believe they would fix the damage caused by the leak and the cost of drying it out. As I am asthmatic and the mould was triggering a nasty attack, my husband's first instinct was just to tear all the walls out himself, but he was afraid it would negate the claim. He could have saved me the misery of breathing issues and it would have made no difference as now they have said they have denied our claim because the issue had been there for more than two weeks. We are on the hook for the water mitigation costs, which will be high, and the repairs. So, if you don't have the ability to psychically sense issues in your walls, don't go with Kin. We were mislead by the sales agent in the first instance, because I spent hour with him trying to ensure a policy comparable with the one I had at home at it seems this does not come close. I paid higher premiums for lower deductible. I took the best policy possible and have wasted my money. Going insurance shopping.

I got a very reasonable quote but can’t… I got a very reasonable quote but can’t seem to get anyone to follow through with finalizing the policy. I emailed 3 times and called again today. I was assured a senior underwriter would call me today but that didn’t happen. It concerns me if I’m having this much trouble buying a policy what will happen if I ever need to file a claim?
