Terrible-do not purchase insurance if… Terrible-do not purchase insurance if you can help it. I went on the vitality program when I purchased insurance because they were offering a "free" Apple watch. Well, I'm a year into it and all the steps/activities I do during the day to get my Vitality points in are not being counted towards my free payment. So I've been getting charged for the watch when I shouldn't. Have reached out multiple times to get help from John Hancock and it's like nobody ever works there, you can't get one person on the phone to get an answer once you're a customer. SCAM-do not sign up with them!

Horrible product, horrible service. My (ex) financial advisor sold me an annuity, claiming it was an investment. It seemed very complicated but I trusted him. After we parted ways, I looked into it, and found that this really profited the company (and probably him). It is worth less than when I bought it, after many years, and they take their cut no matter what. The company denies any responsibility. To make matters worse, the customer service is bad. I had to call many times to find out what was going on. Today, for some reason the website did not work (I was just trying to get their phone number). I had to call their tech support who could not explain it, so had to get a new password. Then I called, was verified, was finally transferred to an agent who wanted to verify me yet again (3rd time today, 2nd time in that call). I hung up in disgust.

Great Staff but more tools needed Great staff but John Hancock needs to provide them with the tools to be greater. Nico was awesome but unfortunately updated information wasn't available to him. The promotion is the Apple watch but no information regarding utilizing android devices was available, I had to look it up. He also mentioned that the Apple Watch 5 was available, yet I just received an email that it won't be available until November. In regards to policies, amazing. He was able to find an affordable plan to fit my needs without over pressuring me into unneeded coverage. There just needs to be better continuity between Vitality and the sales agents.

I love my insurance BUT... I love my insurance and I particularly love the vitality program! I have enjoyed every minute of “paying for my Apple Watch” through working out and through getting healthier! I’ve run wayyyyy more in my year of having vitality. But I will say I’m a little concerned that I did not receive any cash back like I was told I would for reaching the platinum level in my first year. I’ve sent several emails to try figure out if it was a mistake and I get no response. If that had gone as planned I would have easily 5 starred this review but now I’m doubting I will get what was promised when I signed up for my life insurance.

Faulty app I think if you have the app open to time your workout and it comes time to submit and you gets “oops something went wrong “ . There should be some way for this vitality app to still have the information that the work out took place at the gym location and time. Having to mow provide proof of work out because of faulty app is annoying. It happens too often. Defeat the purpose of using the app.
