Joined AARP for nothing.....I signed up with Hartford insurance in… I signed up with Hartford insurance in July of 2022 for auto coverage. My first renewal notice came and it had an increase of almost 28% in my rate. I have not had any accidents or traffic violations and did not change any coverages. I called and spoke to their representative. His only response was, "Well, rates go up over time." I believe Hartford insurance offers a reasonable rate so you sign up with them and then jacks up your rate significantly upon renewal. Beware of buying insurance from this company.

I am glad I answered the phone! Usually if I see an 800 #, I don't pick up, but for some reason I did. My old insurance company had just increased by homeowners by $250. Not only did they give me a great deal on my homeowner's, but they also reduced my car insurance! Andrew Young was a big help, patient and very knowledgeable.
