An essential service for traders I've been using Fintel for nearly 10 yrs as a retail trader. The service they offer is far superior than their competitior's an invaluable asset that helps traders of any type develop the skills needed to become successful. To me the price point is a bargain billed bimonthly at a very competitive rate. Since I've joined several years ago Fintel has continually updated to include additional services.

Fintel in another league to its' competitors Fintel has more up to date data than competitors such as Ortex and Market Watch. I'm mainly looking for short ideas so it is very important for me to have the latest short % and cost to borrow numbers. They seem to have a more comprehensive database of tickers than their competitors as well. Also their IPO and dividend screeners are also very helpful for trading ideas in those domains.

Incomplete and misleading data Incomplete and misleading data, rubbish website, very poor customer service, and when I asked for a full refund after 3 days use they kept the transaction fee. This could be a great product if they made the website responsive and cleaned up the data issues. And, If the customer support didn’t have such a poor and defensive attitude, it would also help. Go with Ortex instead for now.

I love the data I love the data. There is a lot of it too! I particularly like using the short sales data & potential squeeze plays. Very often, I have made $$, more than paying for the subscription costs. I also really like being able to see what could be the reason why a stock is in a several day downtrend for no reason. Being able to see which institutions own what is also very helpful. I also like to use the institutional owner data to follow & play stocks that Vulture Funds operate in. All around, a very good source of data.
