Great initiative by an exceptional team My wife and I had a great experience working with Shane from Nectarine. He was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. We are somewhat literate about financial planning but had specific questions on first-time home buying. He took the time to understand our financial goals, provided us with different options, and encouraged us to consider different frameworks, given that in the world of home buying, there is often no right/rational answer. He didn't try to push any products or services on us. He followed up with some relevant articles after the call based on topics we discussed and also answered some of my follow-up questions by email. We especially appreciated the way that Shane met us at our level of understanding and took the time to go over some of the more complex concepts with us (e.g., backdoor Roth IRA), and made sure that we understood the pros and cons of each option before making a decision. I highly recommend Shane to anyone looking for a financial advisor. He is knowledgeable, helpful, and honest. I am confident that he could help you reach your financial goals.

This is worth the price. This is worth the price. We have a pretty good understanding of investing but had some specific questions. We could have spent hours googling and researching the topics, but in one hour with Shane we were able to work through all our questions. Shane meets you at your level of understanding and doesn't hash through the basics of you don't need the basics. There were a couple concepts I struggled with so we took more time on those, it was great. He keeps the pace up so he can help you with as much as possible within the hour. We pulled up our Vanguard account and learned how to calculate tax on capitol gains and talked about life decisions. Shane would present options and go over the pros and cons of each one and let you make the decision. He provided follow up articles on some of the topics we covered. Can't recommend this enough, and it was so reassuring to know we didn't have to keep our guard up to not be sold a product.

Great experience, saved me lots of money I had a great experience with Nectarine, first we talked about my life and goals and then I was able to screen share my accounts to show my financial situation. The advisor gave me advice on how to optimize and answered all my questions. I had just left a job and he talked to me about the pros and cons of rolling over my traditional and Roth 401k and HSA, giving me the confidence to do it myself. He didn't try to push any additional products or services on me and was very friendly. The advice will probably save me thousands of dollars over the next few years.

We felt like our questions were answered and that we received concrete feedback as to "next steps" we can take to better refine our investing strategy and prioritization. We appreciated getting a follow up email with this feedback along with relevant links. We felt like the advice was truly in our best interest and that there were no complicating factors (i.e. selling products, commission). Greatly appreciated!
