GBSpreadsheet User Spreadsheet and database are very useful in evaluations. Only issues are: - 1-2 week delay between company's quarterly releases and financial update availability. - Numerous inconsistencies in financial data; sum of quarters not equal to full year for some categories; 10-Q and 10-K data not always put in "buckets" in a consistent manner. Assume these shortcomings are from your data provider.

CANot perfect, but helpful Unless you are prepared to wait for years, all stocks making the A list are not winners. However, it is a good tool to evaluate a stock before making a purchase.

GBSaved time and gained new insights I invest with my own IRA and always had to spend a lot of time researching. M1 may be a little out of my price range but with all saved time I believe it makes it more than worth it. The service has also helped improve my knowledge on investing instead of relying on bad ideas I've always relied on. The use of OSV has been very valuable and I'm a sastified customer.

JPThe company valuation that OSV provides… The company valuation that OSV provides is very useful and unique. Maybe that alone is worth the money. However, there are other services that provide similar quantitative valuation, and more information on top of it. OSV, in contrast, have not developed/expanded beyond valuation in the past years. I would like to see them expand the universe of stocks covered, provide data on guru holdings, especially prominent value investors, and insider buying/selling. With some expansion into those areas, OSV would be much more attractive in my mind.

GBHelps to narrow down investing ideas Helps to narrow down investing ideas, but sometimes displays companies that are not up to date with financial reports, therefore it could be misleading. As with any tool, if you don't know how to use it you can get hurt. Use it wisely.
