excellent customer service skills and sensitivity to personal needs. Although there were other institutional companies around, Springleaf's staff welcomed me with a friendliness that seemed less like their job description and more like whom they were raised to be by there parents. They never failed to greet me enthusiastically regardless what other customers are there and let me know that they are really concerned about my needs. I guess it could be summed up like this. "When I walk through the doors of Springleaf, it's like coming home to family".

Best of the breed You will find Springleaf to be much more customer-focused, like you'd expect from a trusted banker. Great rates considering my low credit score, fast service, and none of the scammery that other lenders try to pull (you know the type - it's like Vinny the loanshark at some of these outfits). Very happy with them.

Misleading Applied for a loan told them that I use to be self-employed sent over the requested tax information they requested. Received a call back stating that I didn't make enough money, explained to the rep that i am no longer self-employed that I make about 15k before taxes after taxes 11k, stated i still didn't make enough money. I have no debt was trying to secure the loan to establish credit. I would not use them or recommend them to anyone. It was like they were trying to find reason not to allow me to have the loan. Small lending places were built like this to help the community but this place is not good at all. Thanks for nothing!

Approval amounts and interest way off from quotes The phone reps are nice when talking to hem but very misleading. They tell you that you are approved for the full amount and tell you to fill out paperwork before they go further. Luckily I don't sign things until I know all of the details. Requested 8k for debt consolidation they counter with 3 and a 34% interest rate. That is is a bit ridiculous. My credit isn't the best due to high credit card balances but that is it I have been on time with my payments. Underwriters have the capabilities to bypass certain things and in my case that wasn't even considered. These lending companies are looking to make bank off your interest the best thing you can do Is go to a credit union and get the personal loan they won't gouge you on interest and will take care of you

Great Customer Service Tom was phenomenal. He was professional and relatable. He carries on good conversation while doing what was needed to complete the loan. He went above to make sure everything got done in a timely manner. The process was easy and fast. We will be returning in the future and defiantly will be referring friends and family!
