Petlink I rescued a GSD that is chipped with this company. The original human in her life and I have tried to get her transferred to my contact information. First: the chip industry is dysfunctional in our situation. Don't rescue an animal that has been chipped and registered without documentation from the registry company the transfer happened. Finally, Petlink can't answer your challenges Professionally over the phone. I provided them with her Veterinarian record but it wasn't good enough. Petlink will take your money. This is my 7th GSD. Thanks Petlink, I'll never adopt another animal that has been chipped. Oh yeah, my GSD partner and I will look over our shoulder or I'll get the chip removed.

Impossible Customer Service It is impossible to reach PetLink.net either by phone or email. After a few tiring, frustrating tries to get in touch after waiting a very LONG time I still am unable to reach them. Received an email stating my membership was now inactive but all my paperwork shows there is never another new registration fee at any time. Come on now! Get your business in order!

Scammy spammy money-grubbing company Despite repeated unsubscribe from marketing emails, they keep spamming “One-Year Premium Registration Expires” and try to extort you to pay $19.95 or else you can’t have “unlimited access to your Petlink profile” whatever that means. This deceptive marketing tactic has garnered a class action lawsuit for another microchip company, guess petlink wants one as well? No, it doesn’t mean your pet will no longer be registered. Microchips have permanent data, so anyone who scans will find the pets owner. Do not let these jerks scam you into paying.

Family vacation saved! On family vacation our senior Boston Terrier “explored” a bit too far and got lost from the house. He is deaf and basically blind so we were a tad panicked to say the least. Totally forgetting we had him microchipped we received a call (only an hour and half later) from the local area’s vet that Butch had been found. I honestly thought the microchipping was a waste when we first had it done but now am beyond grateful. Everyone in the family will be getting chipped this week! 😉
