I get all of my property information from this site- building permits, certificates of occupancy, heads up on whether there may be a database listing, historical photos, etc. I highly recommend utilizing property shark for property information.

For years in surveys like this I have been suggesting that Propertyshark acquire NYC's collection of 1930's Tax Lot photos. The lack of response or action on that suggestion is the only negative that keeps me from awarding 5 stars to the site.
