The onboarding process was a bit… The onboarding process was a bit confusing. There didn't seem to be any real chapter leadership. I want a local chapter that is going to have regular meetings online or in person and that wasn't the case here. Also, when I asked about in-person events I was told it was the members' responsibility to put them together. I don't have time for that nor do I want to do that. I want to join a networking group that takes care of the details and brings people together for networking! Also, the two events that I did go to were poorly run. They were shopping and exercise events -- not what I would call business networking. I did not see the value of being a member so I didn't continue with the group.

Best decision I made in my entreprenuerial journey Hey Mama has been life-changing for me as a busy mom and entrepreneur. I used to feel lonely, frustrated, and isolated in every entrepreneurial endeavor I encountered. At every turn, I felt like I had to "recreate the wheel" for my business - which wasn't scalable - or fun. Since joining, I've become part of an inspiring and resourceful community of driven women, mothers, and founders. We share, uplift, and help one another in a way that opens doors for all of us. The friendships and partnerships I've made have made my job so much more enjoyable and productive. If you're a that's on the fence, just join, you won't regret it.

The company won’t let me cancel my… The company won’t let me cancel my membership. I canceled the membership last month, but they keep charging me. And there’s another charge scheduled for next month. And they refuse to give me refund for this month, claiming that it takes 30 days to stop the charges. It’s unscrupulous and hypocritical for them to steal from a small Black woman owned business.

Great members and love the concept! I’ve met so many amazing women and formed some great business partnerships. I love the virtual offerings. I was really disappointed hearing about the behavior of someone on the leadership team. This organization is celebrating women and stands for lifting them up, instead of cutting them down based on physical attributes or because they do not fit that person’s ideal of what is “cool.” Every time I see that person’s name come up in the Google groups, I cringe. I just hate the idea of my money going to support something I can’t stand for. :/

A HUGE Disappointment A HUGE Disappointment I really wanted to like this organization and engage with the members. However, after about 6 months of trying, I realized it wasn't for me. Sadly, you are locked into a 12 month contract with no exit. This finds the organization with people in it who are angry and dont engage because they dont want to be part of the organization. Holding members hostage to boost their numbers isn't an effective membership strategy. When I approached leadership about leaving, I was told there was no wiggle room to leave. They are a money grab. I would recommend spending your valuable dollars elsewhere.
