GBTrip to Japan Gail Thompson Ritz office in LA was very helpful and tour was generally good and Japan is has an interesting history. Tour can be improved by only including only the MOST important castle, temples and shrines. After a few days this becomes too much to enjoy and understand the history. I wanted to go to a tea ceremony and festival but this was not offered at all. I felt that we needed to learn more about their culture. The town I liked the most was Kyoto. Our guide was nice and helpful but much of the information she shared on the bus and inperson could not be fully understood because of her accent. I know that it is hard to lose your accent so I suggested that a summary be given to us so we could read it for ourselves. I will recommend Ritz Tours to others.

GBFamily private group tour Our family of 14 recently enjoyed a second private group overseas trip through Ritz. Ritz took care of our first private group tour of 27 people 6 years ago and, in both trips, we were treated most professionally, expertly, and even personally where and when needed. In addition, we started on their regular tours and kept giving them repeating business over the years before we trusted them with our own private groups. We have recommended them to friends who reported back with all positive praises.

GBA definite bucket list tour but must be able to endure lotsssssss of walking!!!! There were many operational disappointments with the tour which included lack of communication of pertinent info from ritz rep (Olga) and the tour organizer (grace)…. Many of us had never been out of the country before and communication of pertinent info was only done when initiated by the traveler…. It took days once we arrived in europe to even know who ‘Grace’ was! She could have made herself more visible…. Many questions asked of Olga were pushed off to Grace who ghosted us! This trip involved an EXTENSIVE Amt of walking and his disclosure should b shared in the tour description! Overall the you itself was a chance of a lifetime!!!

TWThe Japan Tour was fantastic The Japan Tour was fantastic, way above my expectations. The guide, Hiroshi, took great care of our group, working extremely hard to make sure things go well for all of us. His heart was in his work! Thank you very much. The itinerary was ideal, not too much and not too little. I am a senior citizen, and the amount of walking and sightseeing was just over my limits, but that was great. I had to push myself to keep up, and that gave me a chance to improve my endurance. I appreciate it very much. The sites were all great, filled with cultural treasures. I learned so much more about Japan than I expected. The Japanese keep their country clean, orderly and welcoming. We have so much to learn from them! We also appreciate the fine meals arranged by the tour; all at unique and high quality establishments. We don't travel with tour packages much, but the more frequent travelers in our group mentioned that the meals were definitely a cut above, especially compared to cut-rate offerings (Gate1, for instance.) Bravo, Hiroshi and Ritz! Great job and great value. Highly recommended.

GBSome participants were unprepared which… Some participants were unprepared which negatively impacted everyone. There were a lot of mobility issues which also negatively impacted the group as a whole. There was not enough information given about how the trip would be conducted. Friends and family members never saw each other because they were on a different bus. This was not made clear.
