GBKnitting in Paradise This was the second tour I have done with Knitting Tours, and it was fabulous! The venue (Parknasilla Resort) lives up to the hype on their website. I didn’t try the swimming, spa or gym, but the walking trails are well maintained and the trails along the ocean offer great views. The only hiccup was the cancellation of a sightseeing drive along the Ring of Kerry - but there was a good reason. A nasty piece of weather named Agnes! But the group managed to have the resort start a fire for us and we received hot chocolate or Irish coffee which we enjoyed along with some extra time with our instructor! An alternate tour was arranged, but knitters can be an ornery group! We requested a speedy return to Dublin instead so we could get to the delightful knitting store “This Is Knit” and they graciously obliged. All in all, a spectacular experience!

CAJust get on a plane and join Knitting… Just get on a plane and join Knitting Tours! Upon landing you will be taken care of by their thoughtful and experienced staff in each of their tours. I have been on three tours; Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Scotland & Shetland, all more amazing than the last. Can't wait to see what's next! 😚😚😚

GBA delightful, informative experience This is the fourth Knitting Tours trip I have taken. This tour met the expectations set be the previous three. Tour guide June was knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around; the couch drivers Jim and Graeme were experts at navigating the narrow streets and tight parking lots, all with a great sense of humor. The tour itself was a good mix of history and sharing the knowledge of expert instructors. The food in the hotels and the various lunch stops was mostly excellent--if there's a criticism, it's that the portions were large, with wonderful desserts! I think we would have liked more opportunities to visit yarn shops. We had a few really good ones, but I don't think there could ever be too many opportunities! Overall it was a delightful, informative experience.

CAGreat Scottish Knitting Tour I had a fantastic time on the Scottish Highlands Knitting Tour. I am an avid knitter and a yarn snob. I love fibre, starting from the sheep breeds to processing, (sheering, carding, spinning, dying, etc), to finished products. I also love history and the history of yarn and Scottish clothing. This tour was fantastic in that we went to historic places, we met designers, historians, farmers and artists. We went to shops and villages. My need for information was met. I had lots of time to knit. I met interesting people. I am a retired professional and most people were also retired professionals. The tour guide was really fantastic and our coach driver was also awesome. They had to maneuver us through some very rough weather, and had to shift around workshops and presenters who couldn’t get to us due to road closures. We were safe, well taken care of, and had options available when weather was really miserable. It was great.

GBI enjoyed the variety of experiences… I enjoyed the variety of experiences from shops to farms to museums and must-see tourist destinations as well as off the main road drives. I’m very disappointed I missed the announcement that we were swimming at the Aran Islands. My only regret. Also, there is no better tour leader than AnnMarie. She and David Martin were the best!
