CAAmazing Scotland/Shetland Knitting Tour I recently returned from the Scotland/Shetland Knitting Tour and had an absolutely wonderful time. The trip was very well organized and the fabulous, knowledgeable, funny, Scottish guide Kirsty was able to flexibly time manage and manoeuvre us through all manner of textile and historic sites with ease. To be immersed in the world of Shetland knitting was so inspiring. Not only did I learn lots from these Shetland teachers, but my fellow tour mates were equally inspiring with their beautiful knits. This tour exceeded my expectations and for anyone who has a passion for knitting and all things textile I know they’d love this tour as much as I did.

GBIndividual attention. Individual attention by the instructor. Her knowledge enabled me to expand options for my knitting. The hotel, Lough Eske, was fantastic. Great rooms, staff interaction, and good food. I do wish the breakfast was laid out better, tho. I want to thank the office staff for their rapid responses to my questions. I would definitely use this company in the future.

CAJust get on a plane and join Knitting… Just get on a plane and join Knitting Tours! Upon landing you will be taken care of by their thoughtful and experienced staff in each of their tours. I have been on three tours; Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Scotland & Shetland, all more amazing than the last. Can't wait to see what's next! 😚😚😚

GBKnitting in Paradise This was the second tour I have done with Knitting Tours, and it was fabulous! The venue (Parknasilla Resort) lives up to the hype on their website. I didn’t try the swimming, spa or gym, but the walking trails are well maintained and the trails along the ocean offer great views. The only hiccup was the cancellation of a sightseeing drive along the Ring of Kerry - but there was a good reason. A nasty piece of weather named Agnes! But the group managed to have the resort start a fire for us and we received hot chocolate or Irish coffee which we enjoyed along with some extra time with our instructor! An alternate tour was arranged, but knitters can be an ornery group! We requested a speedy return to Dublin instead so we could get to the delightful knitting store “This Is Knit” and they graciously obliged. All in all, a spectacular experience!

GBJust do it! My first tour of any kind and I would do it again! Our guide and bus driver were knowledgeable, pleasant and accommodating to our interests. Particularly loved the west coast, Donegal area and Sliabh League - amazing! And, of course, you arranged for the beautiful weather. Saw castles, ruins, gardens, small towns, narrow roads, pastures and miles of picture-perfect landscapes and still had time for so many very good fiber arts experiences that were the common interest of our group. I have talked about you often since returning. Thank you all for your efforts to prepare this tour.
