5 BIG shiny stars I think having the basics all correct is the start to a good trip. The venues were well researched, the timing from one event to another all worked. It seems like a small thing but with out the basics of the trip being correct nothing could go right. I too if a well organized and executed trip the professionalism friendliness of the Tour staff and designers made the trip extra special. This is my second trip with them and I’m already looking for the third.

First trip wth knittingtours.com First trip wth knittingtours.com. The 10 night tour in Ireland was great in part because of our fabulous guide Ann Marie Hayes and coach driver extraordinaire, Brian. Everything happened as planned and the weather cooperated so we were able to participate in the outdoor events such as Dun Aengus on Inish Mor and Slieve League. The knitting workshops and demonstrations were fun. I particularly enjoyed the visit to Mourne Aloacas. Definitely recommend this tour.

I enjoyed the variety of experiences… I enjoyed the variety of experiences from shops to farms to museums and must-see tourist destinations as well as off the main road drives. I’m very disappointed I missed the announcement that we were swimming at the Aran Islands. My only regret. Also, there is no better tour leader than AnnMarie. She and David Martin were the best!

A delightful, informative experience This is the fourth Knitting Tours trip I have taken. This tour met the expectations set be the previous three. Tour guide June was knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around; the couch drivers Jim and Graeme were experts at navigating the narrow streets and tight parking lots, all with a great sense of humor. The tour itself was a good mix of history and sharing the knowledge of expert instructors. The food in the hotels and the various lunch stops was mostly excellent--if there's a criticism, it's that the portions were large, with wonderful desserts! I think we would have liked more opportunities to visit yarn shops. We had a few really good ones, but I don't think there could ever be too many opportunities! Overall it was a delightful, informative experience.

Wonderful Best of Shetland Islands and Scotland Knitting tour My husband gave me the Best of Shetland Islands and Scotland knitting tour for a birthday gift. It was an amazing tour for both of us! As a non knitter there were lots of interesting things for him to see and do. As an avid knitter, I loved the experience of taking classes from the best in Shetland. We had a wonderful lace class with Elizabeth Johnson and fair isle yoke class with Hazel Tindale. Not only were these women so kind, approachable and eager to share their expertise, they shared their lives through stories of their childhood and culture. The tour guide, Kirsty was delightful. She had a lovely sense of humor and gave us lots of helpful information re history and practicalities of Scottish culture. Our tour bus driver, Colin was very helpful and courteous. He went the extra mile and helped my husband make the ferry when he had to leave 2 days early. I had never been on a knitting tour before and I found the others in the group were very welcoming and inclusive. I would book another tour with knitting.com in a heartbeat!
