About FareCompare

COVID-19 FAQ We know many FareCompare users had their travel plans impacted by COVID-19. We hope first and foremost that you remain safe during this difficult time. Here are answers to some common questions: Why is FareCompare still promoting travel offers and tracking price changes? Travel restrictions vary in multiple countries and we are adjusting the departure dates for flights in our emails to match these restrictions. Of course we want you to follow the restrictions set up by your health and government officials. How can you cancel a flight or move the departure? You will need to contact the airline that you booked your ticket with (FareCompare does not handle transactions). Look for an email that has a confirmation number. This should also have the airline's contact information. Will airlines charge you if you change your departure? How do you know if you can fly to a certain destination? Either contact the airline if you know which airline you want to use, or visit the government site for your destination. What can you do while waiting for travel restrictions to end? Don't believe any booking you make with… Don't believe any booking you make with them. They'll refer you to a partner like Travelouts, who will take your reservation, then tell you they can't confirm it because the airline changed the price and then demand you pay an increased fare. If you don't pay it they'll cancel your reservation without explanation. They shouldn't be allowed to do business in the US.

Don’t book flights with FareCompare Don't book flights FareCompare, they are cheaters, I lost almost $1600, and they don't mention anything in terms and conditions, later on they will call you and tell you the dates are not fixed baggage is not included and need to pay $2000 again to confirm dates& baggage, they are fraud and worst, they are very well trained to cheat people, and playing with your money. This kind of fraud needs to be punished, I am going to sue.

Great Fares but Be Really Quick! This website is great and I really like the feature to set it to places I want to go and let it do all the fare comparing and watching! My only complaint is that you have to be REALLY quick because these fares are gone in a flash. So unfortunately many times if I am only signing in at night to check emails - they are already unavailable, having sold out.

What discounts? I set up a ‘watch’ and will get an e-mail stating my fare has dropped, but when I go to the site and then click on one of the supposed “fare offers” (clicking “details”) - all I see are fares much higher. (I.e. the e-mail said the fare was $991 and the site shows all prices at $1400 - $1700.

I don't trust farecompare.com Rates found on this site does not verify with third party sites. On farecompare.com canadian dollars is selected, while on the third party companies farebuddies.com and bookmyairtravel.com will transform canadian dollars in the same amount of american dollars. Some flights found on farecompare.com will change on other flight for the same destination but hours will be different.
