GBpoor communication and poor customer service. This travel agency customer service has been below satisfactory. I called to book a trip to Hawaii which they said there was availability and to expect a confirmation within 24 hours. I was also told not to book a flight until I receive confirmation, which was in order. However, I did not hear back until more than 48 hours later which by that point all flight prices had increased. I called their office four to six times to get updates as well as emailed the help line. The travel agent apologized repeatedly and seem to empathize with my situation; however, when I got a response it was not via phone it was via email simply stating that they could not accommodate me at the price which they had charged me and I would need to pay an additional $600+ in order to travel with the group. There was no offer on behalf of the company to compromise or to negotiate with me based off of the inconvenience and the cost of airline tickets which had increased while I was waiting over 24 hours beyond what they promised. the travel agent had memorized my phone number by the time I had called after the 48-hour mark and greeted me on the phone by first name. I have been trying to call and reach them since they sent me the email requesting an additional $640 and have yet to receive a call back. I have left two thorough voicemails requesting a call back, as well, with no response. I only think that it is fair and appropriate that when a company does not meet their end of the agreement that there needs to be some sort of compensation for willing customer. The extra cost is for me to have my own room and on the website that was advertised as a convenient options however it is not my fault that they overbooked the trip and I do not have the option to book with another person. There has been lack of transparency through this process. I did my part and paid the full price for the vacation upfront as requested. I highly do not recommend this organization for a travel agency. There clearly are issues with internal communication. Additionally there appears to be no intentions by the company to ensure that a customer is satisfied.

GBHad a good time in Europe I wen to Europe in July 2019 with this group. LOTS of excursions and site seeing, plenty of free time to do your own thing of shopping or relaxing. Yes we had one hotel with no air conditioning during the heat wave but that’s to be expected in a hotel a few hundred years old. They supplied us with fans and with the window open it was quite comfortable.Roommates can be hit or miss. It’s one thing to have the TV on while sleeping as long as it’s not against the others beliefs but just for background noise. Also when sharing a room, people have to remember you are sharing counter space etc and not hog everything. It’s hard enough to live with people you know well, but total strangers need to sit and make decisions on things before the trip. I don’t blame the company though for a bad roomie. Some people lie about what they are really like. When traveling overseas, just remember things ARE different. Don’t be some spoiled American that hates the differences. If you can’t accept that things can be different in other countries, then don’t go. Our tour leader made sure everyone got to see what they wanted to see and had a good time. Can’t wait to go again.

GBI took a trip to Bali with Best Single… I took a trip to Bali with Best Single Travel in January 2020. It was my first trip with the company and I was very satisfied. I was extremely worried when I missed my connecting flight in Dubai and was 14 hours late meeting up with the rest of the group, but a quick call to the local guide and I was still picked up at the airport and brought to the hotel where I met up with my fellow travelers. There were a few places on the itinerary that I would have preferred to skip, but I had enough free time to take myself to a couple of other places that I wanted to see but weren't on the itinerary. I would gladly travel with Best Single Travel again. Indeed, I had registered for 2 trips back to back that had to be altered due to the pandemic and when I decided that I didn't want to deal with the changes, my deposit was cheerfully and rapidly refunded. As far as roommates go, mine was fine, very consider about sharing the space, but like with all people, I imagine it is hit or miss.
