KYLeft stranded in Jamaica and company kept refund Booked at a hotel in Jamaica on April, when we turned up, the resort turned us away because one of the party in our group was below the age of 18 (even though our reservation showed there was 1 child). The resort has since refunded hotel reservation, provided proof, yet the company still refuses to refund us the monies paid. It was a horrible experience which left us stranded in Jamaica without a hotel. I have written to the company many times, spoken to them on the telephone on multiple occasions, each time they pretend to speak to some team in the back office, say they will process refund in 3-5 days then nothing. This has been going on since April. I would highly recommend that no one ever use this website. I am in the process of securing legal representation to bring a lawsuit against this company.

GBNo Refund policy I booked a reservation through Hotel Reservations by accident. The reservation was for a year in advance. They charged my account before I got their confirmation. They have a non-refundable policy. And now, if we need to cancel for any reason, they will not only get their fee but also the hotel charge. Don't get caught In their scam. Make sure you will not need to cancel if you use them.

GBMade us think we were talking directly … Made us think we were talking directly to hotel. Never mention their real name. Never received a confirmation to email we gave them. Over charged from regular hotel rate plus extra $15 on credit card. Never had a phone number to complain to until we received our credit card statement. What a joke. Real scammers. So sad for older people. Shame, shame.
Never use getaroom.com
GBMade a reservation through getaroom.com Made a reservation through getaroom.com. When my grandson arrived at the hotel, he was denied a room because he did not have the credit card that the reservation was made with. Now getaroom.com is denying a refund because "the cancellation policy states that it is non-refundable". A reasonable person would assume that if the hotel denied the room, then the reservation was cancelled and should be refunded, regardless of the policy. I still don't have a refund 4 months later.

CADeception Live in Canada, went to website of a Canadian hotel. Booked reservation and did not read the fine print on the checkout page. Received confirmation email from reservations.com with the rate in USD. After returning home, discovered USD14.99 "booking fee" on my credit card statement. Called reservations.com and told that booking fee is on the checkout page and could not be refunded, even though no mention of booking fee USD14.99 on the confirmation email. First, deception in disguising as hotel website, Second, deception in fine print booking fee. I shall hotel direct in future. Booking online is a minefield of EXTRA and HIDDEN charges. Hope this helps others avoid the extra costs/frustration I experienced.
