GBThis part was better before This part was better in previous revisions when the plate was, well plated, instead of painted, the first I was sent had some quality problems. What didn't have any quality problems however, is IPD themselves, getting with me the same day, and sending me a replacement with 2-day shipping for free. You guys rock, but please go back to plated parts

CAA Comparison of Parts Distributors and Shipping This month I made two large parts purchases, one from IPD, the other from Rock Auto. (Important info I live in Canada) The IPD delivery came very quickly even without the extra shipping options chosen. Quicker than I thought because when I received a call at 12:40 at night saying UPS needs $60.00 in duty fees to be paid before morning delivery I was bittersweet enthused. Cheerful that my parts were here quick, but peeved that once again I am dinged hard on fees. In comparison with my Rock Auto order where my similar value order came in 3 separate deliveries and yet I was charged nothing for duties/brokerage fees. Perhaps IPD should look at their shipping process. I do still very much appreciate the service they provide for keeping our old iron on the road.

GBThey sell used parts. They sell used parts. Ordered a new MAF sensor for my Volvo and the tamper seal was already broken on it and it looked like it had been at the very least taken out of the box and then just hurled back in it with the wax paper shoved in on top of it rather than being re-wrapped. It's against the law for them to sell an electrical item with that seal broken. Their excuse was: those seals break easily. Really? How, exactly? The box was inside another box. The only way that seal is broken is for someone to intentionally break it. Either they did it or some other customer did and they simply threw it back in the box and sold it to me illegally.

GBThe sales agent customer service. The sales agent, Stefan/Stefon/Stephan/ was very knowledgeable about the product for our 1993 Volvo 240: muffler and reverse light switch What was most impressive though, was when he offered my husband the choice of eithet the Volvo or a comparable manufacturer light switch. Bottom line: He allowed my husband to be an educated consumer!!
