They recruited too many people to get a… They recruited too many people to get a project Survey done in time (for a client), as a result, the work slots are too small to be done for each worker and the worker receive very small pay rate of money, hardly able to withdraw. No attention to the workers welfares. Some projects admin didn't reply faster enough. The appen china platform has bad admin who communicate in very rude way. Never again!

Will terminate you with no warning or… Will terminate you with no warning or reason. I worked for them for almost 4 years and ended up with a couple of good projects that were consistent. My project managers had told me I was doing a good job over the years, so I was shocked and hurt when I was suddenly terminated. They would not give a reason. The company seems not care about the lives they destroy by not giving any kind of notice or warnings when they terminate you. I was loyal and committed and felt I deserved better. I would not recommend them for this reason.

Completely and utterly useless Completely and utterly useless. Signed up for this site hoping to earn some extra cash. Applied for several projects, each time getting an email which confirmed I would hear once my application had been reviewed. Each time there was no follow-up and the project just disappeared from my dashboard. All the while they were busy inviting me to participate in other projects for which I didn't meet the requirements. I'm not sure if it's a scam, or whether the people running it are just massively incompetent. Either way, avoid Appen like the plague.

Spam from Appen on Job listings I have not tried Appen, but they are spamming job listings (2022). Users are paid for referrals, which explains why they post so many ads. They earn money if you sign up through their referral link... Unfortunately this is causing too much spam wasting others' time.

A waste of time A waste of time. Spent 4 hours on a project called "Anthurium" and used a high-end recording device for the task. Fast forward 4 weeks, some Indian call-center guy messages me today, telling me my submissions were rejected and that I'm not going to receive any payment. LOL Should've known better.
