Overtone is a no brainer Overtone smells amazing, leaves beautifully saturated color, and lasts many weeks. I like to dye some strands with pink for brown hair and some with extreme purple. It’s hard to mess it up. I do get my hair slightly lightened before applying, using a balayage technique. This leaves my color looking more organic and does not create noticeable “roots”

First Time with Coloring and Loving It! I was interested in experimenting with coloring my hair for the first time, and had seen ads on YouTube for it. I donate my hair now and again, so I was looking for something that added color and was temporary; I wanted to avoid bleaching/damaging my hair. After going through the experiences/reviews of other users, I decided to try it. Showing how different colors reflect on different hair colors on the website made the shopping experience easier. I bought a few coloring conditioner samples from the "For Brown Hair" line, as my hair is towards the medium/dark brown side, and am pleased with the results. Currently have the purple, pink, and rose gold in my hair, and loving it!

I have been using overtone for a while… I have been using overtone for a while and I just wanted to tell you that I have never had any color product that is absolutely fabulous.

Not intended for healthy hair I have light brown hair, and I have never dyed it before. I guess that means my hair is too healthy for this product to work, as it completely rinsed out, didn't even manage to dye my golden blonde strands.

the product is great! the product is great! the new packaging (the seal on the top of the tub of coloring conditioner) is difficult to work with (awkward and messy to open) and I prefer the older version.
