Hired Mitchell's Masonry Jon Mitchell and his associate Mark did repairs on my Chimney Oct. 4-7 & 10, 11. The repairs consisted of demo crown & replace, tuck point mortar joints on entire chimney, fix busted stones, and seal chimney. Both gentlemen are hard working professionals in their field of masonry expertise. I hired the best and the final results of the chimney repair was outstanding! Super great job! I highly recommend their services.

Very disappointed, Not worth it. We were REALLY disappointed in Build zoom! We wanted to be able to build a home, but had no knowledge of the process, the pitfalls, and who were reliable, vetted, architects, or contractors. We were also very busy and did not have a lot of time to do all the legwork ourselves. We told them of our situation and that we were novices at this process. For $10,000 (installments) ( you can cancel the contract but you don't get all your money back, as you pay them in "stages" ). They assured us they would guide us through the WHOLE process. They would, at the very least, save us the amount of money paid to them, then if we had done all the work ourselves. First, before you build anything, you need an architect. They gave us some names of architects and we talked to them. One had Never designed or had their home design built in the area where we are from. We found "on our own", Different architects have different meanings to what is included in square footage and how their charges are applied. Also, that HVAC systems must be designed into the drawings, and some have an HVAC expert do that. Another is that structural engineers MUST approve the drawings, (possible extra charge) and a ground sample MUST be done where you want your house built, (extra charge). This was Never explained to us. In Build Zoom everything is done by Zoom visits, you don't talk to anyone in person. Also, trying to get in touch with them when you have questions, is a pain sometimes. They are not always available when you need them. They will get back to you, if you leave a message, but it could be hours later. We did meet with a contractor that they provided, but he needed a drawing to give us a true estimate of the cost to build. We decided to cancel the contract. We were only in the stages of getting an architect, but we were not pleased with their service and did not feel, after providing them with half their fee, that they fulfilled their obligations they promised us. We had to spend time, on our own, finding things out when they should have provided that information.

Buildzoom represents dishonest contractors This company represents a contractor who is not reputable. The contractor they represent who is the owner of EG Enterprises out of Staten Island has been using my private home address without permission or authority to do so. I have notified Buildzoom about this contractors illegal practices because they are representing him. My private home address is all over their website and after numerous email’s explaining the situation, they have not done anything about it. If they are representing this one contractor who is scamming, how many more shady businesses are they saying are reputable when they are not? I just wanted my private address taken off their site but no response from them. This contractor rented an apartment from me over three 3 years ago and has used my address illegally since. He has been reported to numerous agencies and I wanted Buildzoom to remove my address that has nothing to do with his business off their site. I do not want an association with this business, especially my home address! I still receive violations for his business to my address as well. I would be careful using this site for any of your projects as they represent dishonest people.

Wanted to leave my contractor a review… Wanted to leave my contractor a review on various sites. BuildZoom seems to focus on such reviews for construction projects, so this was a logical choice. BZ had the right amount of checks and balances that assured me their reviews were legit—I'll probably look for local contractor reviews here in the future.

Consiglio Home Services - refurbishing and painting of half bath Chris from Consiglio Home Services and his team Mike, Rob and Ryan did an excellent job with the Sheetrock repair and painting of our half bath. They were not only very professional but very personable. They communicated when the work would start, they were prompt and careful to protect the access area to the work area. Each day they took extra care to clean up. The finished product was perfect. I would highly recommend them for home projects
