The extra cost for painting is… The extra cost for painting is astronomical. They should supply self-tapping sheet metal screws to attach the mantle to the mantle bracket because the holes don't line up. Other than that, it's a nice product and added the look and protection we wanted on our fireplace/tv.

I got a real human on the other end, who stopped what they were doing, went and measured, and gave me the info I needed. Top notch service. The shelf arrived incredibly well packaged, the quality was flawless. Would DEFINITELY suggest using them for your shelving needs. Great company.

I ended up returning the item I ended up returning the item, however the quality was good, but my fireplace was too big and too close. The product still held up to 20 minutes. WIth that said, I would recommend their product and the kindly reimbursed me and sent me a return label. Thanks team, I appreciate the customer service.

Ponoma Steel - beauty and endurance Ponoma Steel has wide range of options, styles, and colors. We placed a special order with 2" radius curved corners which came well packed and on time. It installed in minutes for me (experienced home owner). Be careful of over-tightening and warping the mount. The fit and finish was excellent and it made a fantastic mantle shelf above our linear gas fireplace. Its non-combustable with 1200 deg paint so it should last. It looks great and protects the art works above it from direct heat.
