GBCarbon frame cracked. "Obsolete" 3 year old bike. Lousy warranty. My 3-year-old Cannondale Carbon Synapse experienced a spontaneous frame crack with just regular road riding--no crash. I purchased it new for over $4000 in November 2020 at REI. It had top of the lineDuraAce components. Cannondale agreed to replace the frame under warranty, but replaced it with a 2024 model frame which has a different size bottom bracket and seat post, making my current crank and seatpost unusable. According to REI, my old Holographic crank cost $800-$1000 new, but it cannot be used on the replacement frame. Cannondale says the warranty does not cover incompatible parts when the bike is "obsolete." They consider my three year old bicycle to be obsolete. New similar quality compatable parts cost me $1001. Labor cost covered by REI cost $400. Cannondale offered me a free helmet to compensate me. Don't expect much from Cannondale. On line, I read of similar experiences. I suspect Cannondale just produces low quality frames prone to cracking.

GBThe "comeandfail" charade.… How many more reviews am I going to read about the winky comeanfail charades posing as serious machines? Had I been travelling at speed when my shoddy front forks gave way , had I been on a road with traffic I would now be dead. Do" comeandfail" care? One of my problems was choosing a supremely nobby shop. DONT GO TO HAYBALLS CYCLE SHOP IN SALISBURY. iWAS SOLD A "COMEANDFAIL" bike and when it inevitably fell to bits the owner denied selling iffy bikes. Let the cont take me to court and deny that he is.

GBPoor customer service _ fork replacement I was contacted in August by Cannondale informing me to stop using my CAADX because of a manufacturing fault with the forks. I was informed by my local bike store replacement forks wouldn’t be available for 6 months ! 3 months later and several emails to Cannondale chasing up a date for repair/ replacement and I haven’t any feedback. I’ve been without a bike for 4 months

GBFailing freehub fixed for free I had a problem with a repeatedly failing freehub on my Topstone, which I think was due to a seal being missing from the axle when the bike was assembled. It was initially very hard to get in touch with anyone from Cannondale (hence 4 and not 5 stars), but once I did (using the email on this page) they responded instantly and sent me a replacement freehub + seal, free of charge. This is two years (and two freehubs) since I bought the bike, so they could have washed their hands of it.. No quibble and no issues, just a goodwill "to keep you rolling".

GBBroken bike after less then 10hrs of… Broken bike after less then 10hrs of riding. Multiple faults right from the off - needed a replacement wheel before it could even be ridden; slipping gears; faulty e-motor. Does Cannondale want to help? Not a chance, they do everything they can bar telling you to "f*** off, you c***". Disgraceful company.
